The Pakistanis only batted for 5.1 overs on the fourth morning before declaring to give their bowlers a final run before the start of the Test series on Friday.Having resumed only five down, the Pakistanis lost three quick wickets on the final morning. Dolphins’ quick Kyle Abbott trapped Sarfraz Ahmed lbw with the old ball and then bowled both Misbah-ul-Haq and Umar Gul with the new one. Beuran Hendricks got rid of Saeed Ajmal in between that and the Pakistanis declared on 250, with a lead of 322.They made early inroads into the hosts’ batting line-up with Junaid Khan and Umar Gul removing Andrew Puttick and Stiaan van Zyl. Davy Jacobs showed some resistance but became Mohammed Irfan’s first victim after an hour and a quarter at the crease. Irfan was again used only infrequently, although he also picked up the wicket of Cody Chetty.Saeed Ajmal got the most number of overs under his belt and finished the match with four wickets. With the Pakistanis deciding they could get no more out of the fixture, they agreed to shake hands on a draw with an hour left to play.Of concern to the visitors will be the fitness of Taufeeq Umar, who had to sit out the fixture with a sore leg, and the brittle middle order. Between them Azhar Ali, Younis Khan, Misbah and Asad Shafiq scored only one half-century in the two innings. The Pakistan squad travel to Johannesburg on Tuesday to prepare for the first Test. South Africa also assemble in the city tomorrow.

O primeiro desafio de Alejandro Márquez fora de seu país de origem promete ser bem intenso. O chileno desembarcou em janeiro como reforço de um Paraná que luta em duas frentes. Além de, a partir deste domingo, diante do Operário-PR, começar a saga para tentar sair de uma longa fila de 12 anos no Estadual, a equipe voltará a disputar uma Série B.

O recém-contratado volante reconhece a responsabilidade do atual elenco, mas mantém seu otimismo com uma boa temporada paranista:

– Estamos com um grupo muito dedicado, unido, que pode ser campeão estadual e conseguir o acesso.

Em entrevista ao LANCE!,o jogador de 27 anos não escondeu sua gana de se firmar com a camisa do Paraná e garantiu:

– Serei garra e coração em campo.

LANCE!:Esta é sua primeira oportunidade de mostrar seu futebol fora do Chile. Como é este desafio de chegar a um novo país e ter se adaptar aos gramados brasileiros?

Alejandro Márquez: Tenho uma grande chance nas mãos. Estou bastante contente por jogar futebol no Brasil. É um sonho realizado, uma oportunidade que aconteceu em um momento perfeito. Minha expectativa é conseguir conquistar muitas coisas importantes com a camisa do Paraná Clube.

L!: O que pesou para você acertar com o Paraná?

É um clube muito forte, muito grande. Já demonstrou isto durante muito tempo e neste ano está muito empenhado, formando uma equipe capaz de conseguir o acesso à elite. Estou muito feliz por fazer parte deste atual elenco do Paraná para a temporada.

L!:Os paranistas evidenciam a gana pelo fim do jejum de títulos logo no Estadual, que não vem desde 2006. Como crê que a equipe tem de lidar para não deixar a pressão pesar?

Meus companheiros comentaram comigo o quanto esta competição é importante para a torcida e, sem dúvida, isto dá uma responsabilidade maior para todos nós. Mas estamos muito unidos desde o início da pré-temporada. Temos um grupo muito bom, que pode ser campeão. Estou convencido de que faremos um grande ano e podemos ser campeões estaduais com o Paraná.

L!:Em 2019, o Paraná também lidará com a briga pelo acesso na disputa da Série B. Acha que esta tensão requer mais sangue frio do jogador?

Sim, acredito que temos de estar mais unidos do que nunca. Estar voltados para o objetivo de ascender à Primeira Divisão, que será fundamental para nós e para o Paraná. Por isso, nosso objetivo é chegarmos com muita gana e alegria desde o início do ano.

L!: No seu início de trajetória no Chile, você esteve noelenco da Universidad de Chile que encheu os olhos, ao se sagrar campeã da Sul-Americana de 2011. Qual aprendizado aquela equipe trouxe para você?

Ah, lembro com muita felicidade de estar naquela Universidad de Chile. Não joguei muitas vez, mas compartilhei muitas coisas com jogadores importantes. Tinham o Lorenzetti, Aránguiz, Canales, Vargas… Aprendizados como o que eu tive naquela equipe me ajudaram muito. Mas hoje, depois de minhas passagens por tantos clubes (Unión Temuco, Deportes Temuco, Palestino e O’Higgins), chego bem mais amadurecido. Isto é um trunfo para eu render melhor no Paraná.

L!:Você é mais um jogador que passou pelo futebol chileno e desembarca no Brasil, como Vargas, Montillo e, recentemente, o Leo Valencia. Em que acha que o futebol sul-americano tem a acrescentar ao futebol brasileiro?

Creio que o futebol brasileiro tem muitas coisas em seu jogo e, por isto, é onde nascem os melhores atletas do mundo. Agora, que tenho a chance de treinar no futebol brasileiro, colocarei garra e coração em campo. É isso que me faz jogar neste futebol tão lindo que é o brasileiro.

L!: Qual Alejandro Márquez o torcedor pode esperar?

O torcedor verá um jogador que se entrega por completo à equipe. Sou um atleta muito dedicado, que dá a vida em campo a cada bola que dispute. E, se for necessário me atirar na bola para “trancar com a cabeça”, eu farei.

L!:Almeja o sonho de tentar vaga na seleção chilena, em especial em um ano no qual La Roja disputa a Copa América?

Sempre sonho com a seleção, com a chance de poder vestir a camisa do meu país novamente. Mas o meu foco, no momento, é vestir bem a camisa do Paraná e atingir os nossos objetivos. É buscar o Campeonato Estadual e, depois, fazer com que a equipe consiga o acesso para a Série A.

L!: O que os paranistas podem esperar do Tricolor paranaense para esta temporada?

Sem dúvida, que nesta temporada nós jogaremos nossa vida por todos os objetivos que a gente se propôs, para dar felicidade à torcida do Paraná.

The MCC has announced a change to the Laws meaning a bowler hitting the stumps during their delivery stride will result in a no-ball being called

If Steven Finn needed any further incentive to drop his habit of kneeing the stumps in his delivery stride, it has been provided by the announcement that it will in future be called a no-ball. The change to the Laws, rubber-stamped by the the MCC Committee, has been brought about specifically in response to Finn’s persistent problem, which the England bowler is still trying to eradicate.The new ruling will come into effect from October 2013 but it is possible for the ICC to change the playing conditions for international cricket to immediately reflect the Law.The issue came to wider attention during England’s home series against South Africa last summer, after a complaint from the batsmen that it was causing a distraction during the second Test at Headingley. Graeme Smith was caught at slip off a delivery that was called dead-ball by the umpires, as Finn had clipped the stumps at the non-striker’s end. At the time, the MCC announced that it would review the Laws.Although Finn has been working to deal with the problem in his delivery stride, the habit has seen umpires call dead-ball with regularity since last August and cost Finn another wicket during the ODI series in India, when Suresh Raina edged to slip. In his most recent outing, the second ODI against New Zealand, Finn trialled a new, shortened run-up, with four strides removed – but still clipped the stumps at one point during the match.Until now, umpires only had recourse to Law 23.4(b)(iv) which states a dead-ball should be called whenever a batsman is “distracted by any noise or movement or in any other way while he is preparing to receive, or receiving a delivery”.In practice, Finn has been allowed one warning per series before a dead-ball is called but even this caused confusion on the New Zealand tour, when Finn collided with the stumps during the second ODI and Brendon McCullum hit the delivery for four. The delivery was allowed to stand and Alastair Cook could be heard asking the umpire, Rod Tucker, why a dead-ball wasn’t called, as Finn had been warned during the T20 series.The MCC’s head of cricket, John Stephenson, said: “MCC continues to act as a robust guardian of the Laws of cricket, and must ensure that it consults widely within the amateur and professional game before making changes that will affect anyone who plays the game.”MCC’s decision today to make the breaking of the stumps during the act of delivery a no-ball provides clarity to the situation and removes the need for a subjective assessment to be made by the umpire as to whether the striker has been genuinely distracted or not. It also ensures that the striker will still be credited with any runs that he scores from the delivery, and will act as a significant disincentive to the bowler from doing it.”The change was recommended by the MCC’s Laws sub-committee, which includes the ICC chief executive, Dave Richardson, and Simon Taufel, the former umpire who is now the ICC’s umpire performance and training manager, after discussion with the MCC Cricket committee.

Camilo está mais próximo de retornar ao Botafogo. O meia já está ciente da liberação do Internacional para que o Alvinegro proponha as condições contratuais visando a sacramentação do acordo, que se daria em definitivo. O Botafogo já estuda a repatriação de Camilo há alguns dias, pois considera o retorno do jogador de 32 anos uma situação “sem risco”, uma vez que ele já é identificado com o Glorioso. Ao todo, pelo clube carioca, entre 2016 e 2017, o meia entrou em campo 57 vezes, marcou sete gols e deu sete assistências.

Camilo deixou o Botafogo justamente para reforçar o Inter, que à época estava na Série B do Brasileiro. Por lá, o jogador não conseguiu o destaque esperado e, agora, está em reta final de vínculo – a expirar em julho deste ano. Assim, cabe ao Botafogo finalizar as tratativas para trazê-lo em definitivo. O desejo inicial dos cariocas é que o contrato dure até dezembro de 2020.

Após a apuração, oLANCE! entrou em contato com Rodrigo Caetano, diretor executivo de futebol do Colorado, e o dirigente afirmou que o clube gaúcho ainda não recebeu nenhum contato oficial por parte do Botafogo. A aguardar o próximo capítulo, que promete sair em breve.

إذا تعاقد ريال مدريد مع هاري كين في الصيف المقبل، فإن فرصة قدوم هالاند ستتلاشى، حيث لن يقبل الثنائي أن يكون معًا في وقت واحد داخل ريال مدريد، وإذا انتظر موسمًا آخر بدون مهاجم مع كريم بنزيما فإن المعاناة تستمر.

وخسر ريال مدريد بطولة الدوري الإسباني رسميًا لصالح غريمه التقليدي برشلونة، كما ودع بطولة دوري أبطال أوروبا بعد الخسارة من مانشستر سيتي 4-1 في مجموع المباراتين، وتوج ببطولة كأس ملك إسبانيا.
