The Australian domestic Twenty20 competition, the Big Bash League, moved a step closer to its new and revamped avatar, with eight new sides announcing fresh and innovative team names and colours for the 2011 season which gets underway in December. The competition will feature sides based out of the main grounds in the capitals of each of the six Australian states. Melbourne and Sydney will house an extra team each at the Etihad Stadium, and the Sydney Olympic Park respectively.Cricket Australia’s Mike McKenna said the confirmation of team names was an important milestone in the league’s development. “Completing the process of developing team names is the first step in explaining to fans what the BBL will look like when teams take the field for the first time in December this year,” he said. “A lot has been achieved in a short space of time. While team names, colours and venues have been resolved, work is continuing on a number of other important features of the league, including team logos and uniform development, the competition match schedule, team and BBL operating structures, and the appointment of key personnel by teams.”The move to city, not state, names is a change from traditional Australian cricket. However in order to grow the game we need to move away from the existing state-based structure because we can’t increase the number of teams, and provide more opportunities for players, under the current system which is the core of our four-day and one-day cricket. It’s necessary we take this approach now so that BBL can help grow the game and evolve domestic T20 in Australia.”No-one’s underestimating the mountain of work that still needs to be completed before the tournament starts, including issues surrounding player allocation and private investment.”It’s critical we get the issue of private investment right before we roll out this new competition. We’ve got a meeting with all key parties from CA and the state associations scheduled which will look to finalise this issue and allow teams to continue discussions with potential investors.”In addition to the migration from a state to city-based franchise model, the BBL will also allow private ownership of the teams, though the modalities of investment are yet to be worked out. Despite the entry of private parties, state cricket associations are expected to retain a controlling stake, which is in contrast to the IPL, the biggest and most successful Twenty20 league. Rajasthan Royals executed a well-calibrated chase against an off-colour Delhi Daredevils attack to register their second win in two games and move atop the IPL leaderboard. The senior players soaked up the pressure – Rahul Dravid set up the chase and Johan Botha anchored it – while the youngsters, Ashok Menaria and Ajinkya Rahane, batted with freedom to keep the required-rate under control. Ross Taylor added the finishing touches with his trademark leg-side lashes.While Rajasthan’s batting flowed seamlessly, their bowling was a tale of two halves. Their fortunes were typified by Shaun Tait’s four one-over spells. He got rid of Virender Sehwag and Aaron Finch – two parts of Delhi’s powerful top-order trinity – in his first two overs. David Warner, the third part, survived Tait and saw off a sublime spell from Shane Warne before counter-punching along with Venugopal Rao. Tait was either too short or too full in his last couple of overs, and allowed Delhi to haul themselves from 43 for 4 after 10 overs, to 151. Their bowlers, however, let them down.”I am used to facing all these fast bowlers.” – Sehwag’s emphatic declaration before the game set up his confrontation with Tait. The encounter was, however, was short. Sehwag cracked his first ball through point but Tait hit back immediately with sheer pace. Taking guard after Sehwag’s sizzle and fizzle, Finch barely saw the three thunderbolts – one of them touching 157 kph – that burst through his defences. One over of high impact – one spell out of the way.Botha and Siddharth Trivedi were not so menacing with the ball, and Tait returned for the fifth over. He reached his 50 by cutting Warne in front of square before handing over the baton to his partner. Rao launched two successive slower balls from Trivedi for sixes over the off side, before Irfan Pathan slugged boundaries off Tait’s closing over to hustle Delhi to challenging total.Dravid ignited the chase with a series of boundaries off Ashok Dinda, but Amit Paunikar missed a wild slog to gift him a wicket. Pathan had shown signs of regaining his famous inswinger in Delhi’s first game. Today, however, he resorted to listless offcutters that Dravid pounced upon. With his seamers disappointing, Sehwag resorted to Roelof van der Merwe’s spin in the sixth over, and Dravid greeted him with two elegant boundaries. Fifty-seven had come off the Powerplay, and the game was heading Rajasthan’s way.van der Merwe gave Delhi an opening by getting Dravid to edge behind, but Botha and Menaria carried on without a fuss. With a stance and swagger reminiscent of Yuvraj Singh, Menaria camped on the back foot and looked to muscle anything too short or too full over midwicket. He thumped sixes off three consecutive overs before carving Pathan straight to cover. Botha was relentless though, in his new No. 3 avatar, executing paddle sweeps at will and keeping things under control. Rahane kept the flag flying, and though Morne Morkel uprooted his stumps in the 16th over it was too little too late.

الزمالك يلتقي مع أسوان، يوم الإثنين الموافق 2 يناير المقبل، في إطار الجولة الـ 11 لبطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

وقال منصور خلال تصريحات عبر قناة الزمالك: “حجزت قطار بالكامل لجماهير الزمالك المسافرة إلى أسوان، 1000 راكب، وسيبدأ في التحرك يوم الأحد في تمام التاسعة مساءً، وسيصل في العاشرة صباح اليوم التالي”.

وأضاف: “القطار سينتظر الجماهير ليعود بهم ولن أخذ أي مليم منهم، وهذه مساهمة من نادي الزمالك، لأنه ناد غني يخدم جماهيره ويسن سنن جديدة لكل الأندية، والأسطورة الوهمي يقلدنا”.

ScorecardMichael Yardy made a successful return to competitive cricket as he led Sussex Sharks to a five-wicket victory over Holland in the Clydesdale Bank 40 at Hove.Five weeks since he returned home early from England’s World Cup campaign to be treated for depression, the 30-year-old took 1 for 36 with his left-arm spin and then made 39 as the Sharks overhauled their target of 226 with 19 balls to spare thanks to an unbeaten 109 from Murray Goodwin.In his first competitive game since he helped England beat South Africa in Chennai nearly two months ago, Yardy brought himself on in the 10th over and immediately put the brakes on a fast start by the Dutch openers Eric Szwarczynski and Wesley Baresi, who had put on 64 before Baresi was caught down the leg side off Rana Naved-ul-Hasan.In his first six-over spell Yardy conceded just 23 runs and picked up the wicket of Tom Cooper who was caught behind trying to turn a ball down the leg side. When he returned to the attack Szwarczynski swatted him over long off for six on his way his maiden one-day hundred.Szwarczynski, 28, played some stylish shots off the front foot and reached his hundred when he dug out a yorker from Naved and deflected it fine for one of 13 boundaries. He departed in unfortunate circumstances when he was run out backing up too far when Yardy, in his final over, deflected Mudassar Bukhari’s straight drive onto the stumps. Szwarczynski faced 117 balls for his 111.None of his team-mates made more than Baresi’s 21 as Holland lost their way after reaching 105 for 1 in the 18th over. Chris Nash picked up 3 for 30 with his off breaks but Amjad Khan had to leave the field halfway through his fourth over suffering from a calf problem.Sussex’s reply began poorly when Ed Joyce, who made 28 for Ireland when they beat Holland in the World Cup, drove loosely to extra cover. Nash mis-timed a pull off the splice to mid-off and Bukhari had picked up his third wicket when Naved was bowled slogging across the line.That left the Sharks on 47 for 3 in the eighth over but Yardy and Goodwin took control on a flat pitch against an attack which offered little menace once Mudassar had been seen off. They added 80 in 15 overs before Yardy played on to Berend Westdijk, having struck four boundaries.Goodwin played superbly and cruised to the eighth one-day hundred of his career which he reached with his 15th boundary. The 38-year-old finished unbeaten on 109 from 88 balls, sealing Sussex’s first victory in this season’s competition with a straight six off Shane Mott.

وعما إذا كان محظوظًا لكونه تدرب على يد 3 مدربين مميزين مثل جوارديولا، لويس إنريكي، وتشافي: “بالطبع، فهما أفضل 3 مدربين في العالم، هذا ما يميزني، أعتقد أنني كنت لاعب مختلف دائمًا منذ بدايتي في فالنسيا”.

وأوضح المصدر لـ بطولات أن الزمالك أتم اتفاقه مع الحزم السعودي بشأن رحيل يوسف إبراهيم أوباما.

ويحتل نادي الحزم المركز الثاني في دوري الدرجة الأولى السعودي (دوري يلو) برصيد 28 نقطة حصدهم من 15 مباراة.
