Manchester United fans do not have much confidence going into the Manchester derby next month even though City striker Sergio Aguero is set to miss the game at the Etihad.

The two sides will face each on December 7th and the Red Devils have not had the best of fortunes against their local rivals in recent years. United have lost three out of the last five meetings with the Citizens and were beaten home and away last season versus Pep Guardiola’s side, who went on to win the Premier League.

The Spanish manager revealed in his press conference that Aguero is set to be out for “a few weeks” and added that the Argentina international will “need a miracle” to be fit for the tie against their hated neighbours.

Aguero has been on the winning side seven times on 11 occasions and has scored nine goals during derby matches over the years, so his absence could be massively influential.

Despite Aguero’s impressive record against United however, supporters still aren’t hopeful of getting anything out of the game and made their feelings clear on social media.

مايكل زورك المدير التنفيذي لـ بوروسيا دورتموند صرح لشبكة “Sport1” الألمانية، قائلًا: “أحب التمسك بالشكل الذي يبدو عليه العقد بيننا وبين هالاند، لدينا خطط واضحة للغاية في الموسم الجديد، وهالاند من ضمنها”.

وأضاف: “رايولا قال إنه يحترم موقف النادي رغم وجود خطط خاصة به للرحيل، لكنني أؤكد أننا لا نريد البيع هذا الصيف ونحترم رأيه، لكن احترامي لرأيه لا يعني أنني أتفق معه”.

واختتم: “بوروسيا دورتموند واضحًا للغاية، نحن بخير مع هالاند ونريده أن يستمر معنا للموسم المقبل، ولا توجد لدينا أي نية لرحيله في الصيف”.

TalkSPORT presenter Adrian Durham has suggested that Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell is a better talent than Mesut Ozil – much to the surprise of dumbfounded co-host Darren Gough.

Cantwell scored as the newly promoted Canaries prolonged Arsenal’s wait for a victory with a 2-2 draw at Carrow Road, with Durham singing the 21-year-old’s praises to the point where he suggested Ozil should study the youngster’s game with a view to replicating it.

Ozil has not long four goals in his 14 appearances in the top flight this season.

Gough could not believe his ears after Durham’s admission, claiming Cantwell is ‘not even in the same breath’ as the World Cup winner.

Durham said on TalkSPORT: “Todd Cantwell is the player Mesut Ozil dreams of being. What Mesut Ozil needs to do is get some DVDs of Todd Cantwell and watch them on loop and then try to be that player.

“And maybe, just maybe, the money he earns every week might be worth it.

“If only he had his attitude, never mind his quality.”

Gough’s response to Durham’s quips is more than justified when comparing the careers of the two players involved.

Cantwell was still a youth player by the time Ozil had tasted La Liga and World Cup glory, while despite his satisfactory start to life in the Premier League, it could easily be argued that Ozil’s achievements to date pale Cantwell’s mere progress into insignificance.

Durham implied that the German was under-par at Carrow Road on Sunday, though it was his free-kick and his corner that led to both of Arsenal’s goals last weekend – even if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was left to take the plaudits for (eventually) finishing his chances off.

The fact that they often do not even play in similar positions may suggest that Durham unfairly singled out Ozil to make a rather weak moot point, which was all but confirmed by Gough’s astonished response.

والتقى الزمالك والإسماعيلي أمس في دور الـ 16 من بطولة كأس مصر، على أرضية ملعب استاد السويس، وحسم الفارس الأبيض بطاقة التأهل إلى دور ربع النهائي بعد فوزه بهدف أشرف بن شرقي.

وشهدت المباراة شدا عصبيا بين لاعبي الفريقين والجهاز الفني، بسبب بعض قرارات أمين عمر حكم الساحة، من ضمنها طرد اللاعب المغربي أشرف بن شرقي، الأمر الذي أدى إلى إحداث توتر في الملعب بين اللاعبين.

وأكد مصدر داخل لجنة الحكام في تصريحات خاصة لـ بطولات، أن الونش لم يتلفظ تجاه الحكم المساعد أحمد حسام طه، مُشيرا إلى أن لاعب الزمالك كان مُنفعلا لأن المباراة كانت مشدودة، وهذا ما تسبب في المشادة التي وقعت بينهما في نهاية المباراة.

وأضاف المصدر ذاته، أن أمين عمر حكم الساحة قام بسؤال أحمد حسام طه، هل تلفظ الونش في حقك؟ وكانت إجابة الحكم المساعد لا، وبرر الموقف بأنه أنفعال ملعب فقط لا غير.

وأوضح المصدر، أن أحمد حسام طه رد على الونش بحزم أيضًا حتى يُنهي هذه المناقشة ولا يصل الأمر لمعاقبة اللاعب من قبل حكم الساحة أمين عمر، ولم يقصد الحكم المساعد التقليل من اللاعب عندما وضع يده على جسد الأخير.

A lot of Celtic fans have expressed how much they miss Gary Hooper after the club tweeted a video from a fixture played eight years ago today.

Sanson had been a virtual ever-present for Marseille before Ligue 1 was cancelled, making 30 appearances across all competitions, and scoring five goals and providing five assists too.

And after hearing about the update on their links to the £20.25m-rated ace, Spurs fans took to Twitter to share their reactions.

A few supporters couldn’t quite believe that Spurs are interested in another player from France, with a couple bringing up the names of Benjamin Stambouli and Clinton N’Jie, who played a combined total of just 39 games before leaving.

One Spurs fan meanwhile seemed particularly frustrated by the fact the club seem to be targeting another central midfielder, instead of addressing a more pressing area of concern like up front.

Unsurprisingly, a few Spurs fans seem to have a sense of deja vu when it comes to potentially signing Sanson.

The club have had their fair share of bad signings from France, including the likes of Stambouli and N’Jie. And with Ndombele having a rocky first season with the Lilywhites too what with Mourinho taking to publicly criticise him, there isn’t much excitement surrounding a move for Sanson.
