يرى جيمي كاراجر، نجم ليفربول السابق، أن أداء الفريق أمام ريال مدريد في الهزيمة (٣-١)، كان الأسواء منذ ٦ سنوات تحت قيادة الألماني يورجن كلوب.

وتعرض ليفربول لهزيمة من ريال مدريد بنتيجة (٣-١)، في ذهاب دور ربع نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا، على ملعب “ألفريدو دي ستيفانو”.

أشار كاراجر أيضًا إلى أن نابي كيتا، لم يتمكن من القيام بدوره في وسط الملعب، أمام توني كروس ولوكا مودريتش.

وقال كاراجر في تصريحات ل CBS Sports: “أعتقد أن أداء الشوط الأول هو أسوأ أداء رأيته تحت قيادة يورجن كلوب منذ ست سنوات”.

وأضاف: “لم يكن هناك شيء يقدمه الفريق، من حسن الحظ أن نتيجة الشوط الأول كانت 2-0 فقط”.

وواصل كاراجر: “ما رأيته في الشوط الثاني هو ما اعتقدت أنني سأراه لمدة 90 دقيقة حيث كانت مباراة 50-50 تقريبًا،  ريال مدريد كان لا يزال جيداً في الشوط الثاني، لكن ليفربول بدأ يتجاوب”.

وأكمل: “الشوط الأول لم يكن مقبولاً، لم يكن الفريق جيدًا بما فيه الكفاية في أي مركز”.

وأتم: “نتحدث عن الفريق وخط الوسط الذي اختاره، نابي كيتا دخل خط الوسط للضغط على كروس ومودريتش ولم يكن بالقرب منهم في أي مكان بالملعب”.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have hailed Dele Alli after the midfielder rescued his side a point against Watford on Saturday.

The attacking midfielder scored in the 86th minute to salvage a draw for Mauricio Pochettino’s men in north London against the team that are currently rooted to the bottom of the league.

Indeed, Abdoulaye Doucoure’s goal gave Watford hope of claiming their first win of the season but Alli was able to net late on, as he pounced on a defensive mix-up to beat Ben Foster and tuck the ball home.

There was some controversy over the goal, however, with VAR checking to see if the 23-year-old had handled the ball in the build-up.

The technology eventually gave the goal and Spurs claimed what could be a valuable point as the season progresses.

And fans have taken to Twitter to hail the goalscorer, who was actually left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the games against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria, having struggled for form throughout the campaign. Indeed, Saturday’s strike was his first of the season.

وتحدث وكيل نيمار السابق، فاجنر ريبيرو، عن الأمر في تصريحات مع صحيفة “ليكيب” الفرنسية: “المرة الأولى التي رغب ريال مدريد في التعاقد مع اللاعب كان بعمر الثالثة عشر”.

وتابع: “كان هناك عرض من قبل ريال مدريد بمقابل 840 ألف يورو وراتب شهري 10 آلاف يورو، كان نيمار يحصل وقتها على 700 ريال برازيلي، واعتقد والده أنه من الأفضل بقاءه هناك، وعندما كان اللاعب في مدريد اتصل بوالدته وشقيقته وبكى لأنه لا يريد الابتعاد عنهما”.

وأضاف: “في 2010، عرض تشيلسي الكثير من الأموال للتعاقد مع نيمار ولكنه لم يرغب في الرحيل أيضًا في ذلك الوقت، وعرض سانتوس عليه التجديد ليصبح أسطورة في قلوب الجماهير وتحدث بيليه مع والده الذي تأثر كثيرًا ووافقوا على البقاء خاصة وأن النادي البرازيلي كان يدفع راتبًا جيدًا”.

وعن معركة ريال مدريد وبرشلونة: “كان فلورنيتنو بيريز قد عرض 40 مليون يورو على سانتوس ووافق على كل ما طلبناه، وبالتالي، اعتقد أنه حصل على اللاعب لكن والد نيمار طلب منه الانتظار لأن ابنه يفضل الانتقال إلى برشلونة، حاولوا الضغط على اللاعب وأرسلوا ثلاثة مدربين ومحامين للتوقيع مع نيمار لكنه لم يرغب في الانتقال إلى ريال مدريد”.

وعن باريس سان جيرمان: “كانت البداية في 2015، عرضت عليهم انتقال نيمار من أجل بناء فريق أحلامهم، التقينا بالإدارة وناصر الخليفي في صيف 2016 في إيبيزا ولم يرنا أحد، حصل اللاعب على عرض براتب قيمته 11 مليون يورو، وعرض علينا 26 مليون يورو (عمولة)، طلبنا منه 40 مليونًا وأخبرنا أنه سيدرسها”.

واستمر: “كان عرض الخليفي خرافيا حيث أكد أنه سيمنح نيمار أسهمًا في سلسلة فنادق وطائرة خاصة وسيضع اسمه على برج إيفل، لكن الصفقة لم تتم، ليس فقط بسبب اللعب المالي النظيف ولكن لأن اللاعب لم يرغب في الانتقال إلى باريس سان جيرمان، كان سعيدًا في برشلونة”.

وأكمل: “توقيع نيمار إلى باريس سان جيرمان كان بدون مشاركتي، من أدار الصفقة هو بيني زهافي مع المدير الرياضي، أنتيرو هنريكي، ولم أتلق أي شيء من باريس سان جيرمان رغم أنني من عرضت عليهم اللاعب قبل عام، نيمار لم يستطع الرفض هذه المرة، النادي دفع الشرط الجزائي وحصل هو على راتب سنوي قيمته 36 مليون يورو صافية الضرائب”.

وعن الاقتراب من ريال مدريد في 2019: “كان سينتقل إلى سانتياجو برنابيو، وكان النادي الإسباني على استعداد دفع 300 مليون يورو، أخبرني بيريز بذلك لكن ناصر الخليفي رفض حتى ولو بمليار يورو لن يرحل”.

Wolves couldn’t make it a fourth successive win in all competitions as they endured a stalemate with Southampton at Molineux on Saturday.

Last time out, Nuno Santo’s men impressively snatched all three points from reigning Premier League champions Manchester City, but they failed to do the same here.

Although it wasn’t through a lack of trying as striker Raul Jimenez twice saw a goal chalked off through VAR.

There was also a return for Diogo Jota, who had missed the previous four outings through injury.

He was introduced after his strike partner Jimenez slotted home the equalising penalty, just after the hour mark.

His appearance allowed Wolves to shape into a more natural 3-4-3 as he replaced Patrick Cutrone, who is primarily an out-and-out striker, and in doing so, he gave his fellow countryman a reminder on why it is a system he should continue to operate.

Off the Bench

Jota added fresh legs and a bit of pizzazz on the left-flank. With Matt Doherty also on the pitch, it meant that Adama Traore was pushed forward to operate as part of the three-man attack.

That’s quite a lethal front three.

The 5 foot 10 forward managed to record two successful dribbles, which was more than Cutrone and Jimenez combined and only one less than Traore, who played the entire 90 minutes, per WhoScored.

Wolves also took control of possession with him on the pitch, averaging 53.1%, so Nuno should look to operate this system more often.

The 3-4-3 formation allows the midfield to link to the attack more fluidly as the two wide forwards effectively operate in the half-spaces behind the striker.

This then enables a more coherent link between the midfield and attack – an issue that was hurting the west Midlands side early on in the season.

Jota returning also reminds Nuno that he should be starting alongside Jimenez, regardless of whether he plays 3-4-3 or 3-5-2, as the pair are a deadly duo having scored 22 together last term.

And in addition to that, Cutrone just hasn’t been taking his chances when given the opportunity.

Some supporters seemingly still have the utmost faith in the Austrian to steer them in the right direction.

It’s hard to agree with the Saints fans on this one though. The south-coast club moved to 18th in the Premier League after 10 games, and Friday’s performance was undoubtedly one of the worst in English top flight history.

Whether or not the former RB Leipzig manager remains at the helm at St Mary’s remains to be seen, but the fanbase certainly don’t want to see any brash decisions made.

Phil Hay has confirmed that the FA are still investigating that incident, but with the new rules in place, the minimum punishment that could be handed out is a six-game ban.

If Casilla is found guilty of this an opportunity will almost certainly be handed to Meslier, and despite the circumstances, he will have to take full advantage of this chance.

Of course, if the Spanish stopper is found guilty that will have certain ethical implications and Leeds will have a decision to make with how they want to deal with the player internally.

However, strictly from a footballing standpoint, a suspension may open a door for Meslier to impress.

The 19-year-old hasn’t been given a chance in the league this season, and with the Whites potentially heading into a season-defining portion of the season the goalie could stake a claim for the number one shirt if Casilla is punished.

There is certainly a reason to believe he could step up too. He’s saved two penalties for the U23 side this term and was hailed by fans for his athletic ability between the posts.

During the summer, Barcelona finally sealed the deal to bring the young Dutchman, Frenkie de Jong, to the Catalan capital.

And with such a big talent slotting into their midfield, it was obvious someone had to drop out. Ivan Rakitic spoke to Mundo Deportivo back in May and he was convinced De Jong’s arrival wouldn’t affect his status in the slightest.

What did he say?

The changing of the guard is nothing unusual in football.

There comes a time in every professional player’s career when he has to accept that he’s past his prime and ready to hang up the boots. Rakitic, however, didn’t really feel like he was at that point in his career when news of De Jong’s arrival was rife in the media.

And granted, with 31 years on his back, he’s maybe not ready for retirement but thinking that De Jong’s acquisition would not affect his role in Barcelona was foolish, to say the least.

When talking to Mundo Deporivo, the Croatian midfielder was confident nothing would change for him.

Here’s what he said back then:

“First of all, there is a young boy who is playing very well and I am glad that the club continues to strengthen. Every good player that can arrive, [I’m] delighted. But also everyone has their place,” he continued. “He arrives but I am convinced that he will not arrive for my position, my position is occupied.”

Needless to say, those are the words Rakitic probably regrets saying to his day.

But seeing how the Croatian was indeed Ernesto Valverde’s most used player in the 2018/19 campaign, it’s not surprising that he would indeed say something like that.

But not only did De Jong slot right into Barcelona’s starting XI but he also sent Rakitic packing onto the bench.

The difference is staggering, to say the least.

After nine matchdays in La Liga and three in the Champions League, the Dutchman has played a total of 978 minutes across all competitions for the Blaugrana, starting in 11 out of 12 games. The Croatian, on the other hand, can only boast with 203 minutes and just one start in eight games he played up until that point in time.

Needless to say, De Jong did end up coming exactly for his place and now, Rakitic might even be heading out of the club in the not so distant future with some reports suggesting Italy might be his next destination.

And it all seemed rather unlikely just a couple of months ago.

وحسب الصحيفة فإن العرض الذي جاء لملاك ليفربول من الشرق الأوسط، ولكن ملاك النادي ليس لديهم أي نية لبيع النادي.

مجموعة “FSG” دفعت ما يقرب من 300 مليون جنيه إسترليني لشراء النادي في 2010، وباعوا 10% من حصة النادي بقيمة 543 مليون باوند من أجل تعويض الخسائر التي تكبدها النادي جراء جائحة كورونا والتي تُقدر بـ120 مليون.

وأوضحت الصحيفة أنّ على الرغم من رفض المُلاك الشديد لفكرة بيع النادي، لكن من قدموا العرض لشراء ليفربول، ينوون تقديم ذات العرض مرة أخرى، في ظل الضغط المُتزايد على إدارة النادي بعد المُشاركة في مسابقة دوري السوبر الأوروبي.
